8:00 AM – dusk Golf Course, clubhouse open; contact phone 456-2195

Two person scramble $25 person a day for 18 holes of golf and a cart. You may pick your own person or call the club house to sign up and a partner will be assigned. Daily winner all weekend.

1:00-5:00 PM Newell Museum free to the public; contact Linda Velder at 456-1310

1:30-5:00 PM Library free internet available; contact Glynda Smith at 456-2179

6:00 Tailgate Party at the football field by the Centennial Committee

7:00 High School Football Game against Harding County

9:00 Dance Downtown Newell Bar

Welcome to the Newell Centennial Website

The Newell community is planning a variety of events for the Newell Centennial! This celebration will be held in conjunction with the all school reunion and Labor Day 2010. See our list of activities for the weekend.

To prepare for this celebration event we are asking for tax deductible donations to help us put this celebration together. Projects include; purchasing new Newell welcome signs, banners for centennial, & other various memorabilia. We would also like to rent a tent for that weekend to host many activities, as well as many other beautification projects we would like to see done.

Basketball Raffle

We are going to be raffling tickets from Labor Day up until Christmas Break. We will draw at the December 11th basketball games between the girl's and boy's. Tickets are $1 a piece, or 12 tickets for $10. You can contact Scott Wince or one of the girls basketball players throughout the year to purchase tickets. Thank you!
